 Daniela Hops

As the youngest child in a family of entrepreneurs, Daniela Hops grew up working in the family business. She understands the challenges of balancing a busy working schedule with other responsibilities. Her commitment is to help business owners achieve exceptional profits and increased productivity while having time off to enjoy a life outside the office.

Daniela received her Business Administration Diploma from Red River Community College in Winnipeg and her Certified Management Accounting Designation from the Society of Management Accountants of Alberta. For the past 18 years, she has held a wide range of accounting, payroll and business positions in a variety of firms and industries. She purchased a Padgett Business Services Franchise, one of North America’s fastest growing accounting franchises, in 2005. Daniela is a member of Calgary & Area CMAs in Public Practice, CMA of Alberta and Powerhouse International. For the past two years she has served on the executive committee of the Calgary & Area CMAs in Public Practice.

Padgett Business Services is the vehicle that has allowed Daniela to venture out on her own and work with other small businesses in the areas she knows and enjoys the most – accounting, taxes and building relationships. Daniela enjoys her work immensely and feels she has truly found her passion!

 

Lisa Francis

Lisa Francis was born in Ontario and moved to Calgary in 1978.  She lives with her Husband and 9 year old son in NW Calgary where she spends her time reading, bicycling, and spending time with her family and pets.

She acquired her 20 years of book-keeping experience in a variety of small businesses including the Graphics design industry, Manufacturing, Construction and most recently in Retail.  Some of the positions she has held during her Career are accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, book-keeping and office administration. This variety of experience serves to give Lisa a broad understanding of all book-keeping purposes and needs.

It is Lisa’s goal to learn all that she can in everything she does.  She most enjoys dealing with people one on one and feeling that she has helped to make a difference in the lives of the people she deals with every day.  Working at Padgett Business Services is allowing Lisa to meet new people, learn many new skills and go home at the end of the day feeling satisfied that she has helped to make a difference in her own way.

 

 

Yvette McDermott

Yvette was born and raised in Calgary and completed the business administration program at Mount Royal College.  She has worked in the accounting business for over 22 years. 13 of those years were spent at one of the big 5 accounting firms, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, in the small business group as well as one of the tax groups.

At Padgett Business Services Yvette fulfills a senior accounting position on an ongoing part time basis.

Yvette recently and happily become a grandma for the first time and has been spending as much time as possible with her new granddaughter.

 

 

 

 

 

Petunia

Petunia plays a very important role at Padgett Business Services.  She is staff entertainer, bug hunter, client greeter, and watch-cat extraordinaire.  She works full-time, stopping often to take frequent naps due to the intensity of her job.

Petunia is compensated for her dedication and hard work through kibbles, yogurt, and tummy rubs.  Remember to say hello next time you are in the office.
